The Hargreaves Group was founded in 1964 as a private investment and development Company specialising in commercial and residential property across the South East of England.

I met with the Hargreaves team in January with Melody, Chris & Tim. They had been dissatisfied with a current website they had for some time and felt it difficult to manage themselves. After an in person meeting with me, they decided to hire me to build a new website for them.

They had a good brand package already and had a strong view on how the site should look.

It’s important to note that the site they had had been listed for a while so we kept all the page URL’s the same to ensure no SEO goodness was lost and other pages I redirected to the new pages again to preserve any good SEO.

The website needed to pull in dynamically location and sector properties and there were a number of properties to load onto the website!

Dynamic content was also required on a separate page called Available Space with dropdown accordion style information sections.

An eye catching timeline function was integrated on the About page to showcase the history of the company with historical information and images.

An extensive Team page followed a similar format with dropdown bios for each team member with accompanying images and with team members being segmented into departments.

The News section was a particular issue on the old site as it didn’t display well and felt crowded and confusing. I resolved this issue with a simple but smart blog news page with excerpts that click through to the full post.

Hargreaves are once again in full control of their website and regularly make updates and add new news items.

As always a full and bespoke training video was provided with all the standards you should expect with a website with a great foundation in website creation and integration of good SEO practice.
